RISK & LIABILITY POLICY

RISK & LIABILITY POLICY

Live animal transport involves inherent and unavoidable risks due to the nature of transporting living beings across long distances, varying climates, regulatory environments, and transport modes. While Global Livestock Logistics applies professional planning, welfare-focused handling, and regulatory compliance at every stage, certain risks may still arise beyond our direct control.

Inherent Transport Risks

Clients acknowledge that live animal transport may involve risks including, but not limited to, stress, illness, injury, delays, or unforeseen complications caused by environmental conditions, animal behavior, regulatory interventions, or transport disruptions.

Third-Party Services

Many aspects of live animal transport depend on third parties such as airlines, shipping lines, port and airport operators, ground handlers, veterinarians, and regulatory authorities. Global Livestock Logistics is not responsible for delays, refusals, schedule changes, or actions taken by these third parties, even when coordination is managed on the client’s behalf.

Regulatory and Authority Decisions

Transport activities are subject to inspections, approvals, and decisions by veterinary authorities, customs officials, biosecurity agencies, and other regulators. Delays, rejections, or additional requirements imposed by authorities are outside our control and do not constitute service failure.

Animal Health and Fitness

Clients are responsible for ensuring animals are medically fit for transport and meet all health requirements prior to shipment. Global Livestock Logistics is not liable for health conditions, complications, or outcomes arising from pre-existing medical issues or undisclosed conditions.

Force Majeure Events

We are not liable for delays, losses, or service disruptions resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, pandemics, labor actions, political instability, carrier cancellations, or government restrictions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Global Livestock Logistics’ liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service provided. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including financial loss, loss of business, or reputational impact.

Insurance Responsibility

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, clients are responsible for arranging any desired insurance coverage for live animals during transport. We may assist with information or coordination where requested, but insurance coverage is not automatically included in our services.

Risk Mitigation Measures

Despite the above, Global Livestock Logistics actively works to reduce risk by conducting route assessments, coordinating welfare planning, selecting approved carriers, and preparing contingency plans. These measures are intended to minimize exposure but do not eliminate all transport-related risks.

Client Acknowledgement

By engaging our services, clients acknowledge the inherent risks associated with live animal transport and agree that Global Livestock Logistics cannot guarantee outcomes beyond reasonable professional control.
